Truth Team Letter #3/2018

The following story comes from one of our students and testifies to the supernatural power of God. As you read this powerful account of God’s intervention into Tae’s life, I challenge you to trust Him with every need in your life as you continue to STAND FOR TRUTH. God is looking for those who are willing to fully surrender to the Lordship of His son Jesus.

My name is TaeLeasha Jones and I am a student at the NRBA. I would like to share my testimony with all of you to tell you that God still heals those who believe. In 2015 I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, which is a multi-system inflammatory disease that occurs when the immune system goes into overdrive, causing inflammation and possible organ damage. The symptoms that I had were joint pain and shortness of breath. They diagnosed me with Sarcoidosis based on a blood test, but the doctor wanted to find out where it was in my body so that they would know how to treat it. They started by making me see all kinds of doctors; such as, Rheumatology, Neurology, Respiratory, Otolaryngology, and Ophthalmology. They tried to find it in my body through MRI’s, CT scans, PET scans, blood work, skin biopsy and eye exams. Then one day I had this weird skin rash and when I went to the doctor he gave me prednisone, and this made my joints stop hurting. My Rheumatologist did not want me to be on prednisone for a long time due to it being a steroid drug, and the fact that it had a lot of negative side effects. She ended up putting me on methotrexate, but that did not make my joints stop hurting. Then one Friday in 2017, Coach Miller and I prayed that my pain would go away and that whole weekend I did not have pain in my joints. From that day forward, I have not had pain in my joints, nor have I had to take any medications, or had to go to any more doctors about this problem. God is still alive, and He still heals people. You just need to believe that He is able, and He will.

‘Have compassion on me, LORD, for I am weak. Heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.’ Psalm 6:2

Wow! What a story! Thank you Tae for sharing what God did for you with all of us. By the way, summer provides a great opportunity to set more time aside for reading your Bible and spending time alone with God in prayer. Until next time, keep shining the light of Jesus wherever you go.
